Activity daily average

In the daily total hover, the average time spent on that activity over the last 7 days is now displayed along with the total for the last 7 days.

Removed 24 hour activity sparkline

This graph did not seem particularly useful and was removed to make room for the average time spent over the last 7 days.

Weekly goals

BubbleTimer now has weekly goals that can be used in conjunction with daily goals or on their own. Weekly goals are not yet reflected in print outs, exports or on the iPhone, but they will be shortly.

Fixed a problem in the print out summary

Fixed a problem when in the summary section of printing when one of the time ranges for an activity is 11:45PM-12:00AM. It was incorrectly reporting that time as 0 minutes. Thank you Simeon for both spotting the problem and for taking the time to report it.

Detecting a new day

BubbleTimer used to detect when a new day had started and it removed the clock and the current time indicator. There was a bug where this feature was no longer working. It works again.

Fixed a problem exporting times less than 1 hour

An Excel export used minutes for times less than 1 hour (like 15, 30, 45) rather than the decimal format that the rest of the spreadsheet used (.25, .5, .75). The times are now all consistent. Thanks for the bug report Tony.

Comma Seperated Values for Geeks Includes daily goals

For the geekiest among you (and you still do know who you are), when you add the .csv to the end of the BubbleTimer web address (http://www.bubbletimer.com/days/01-28-2009.csv) and get CSV output for that day, it now includes 3 additional fields which provide the daily goal.

The first field indicates the goal type:

  • blank for no goal
  • -1 for a less than goal
  • 0 for an equal to goal
  • 1 for a greater than goal
  • 2 for a between goal

The second field indicates the goal value as a number of 15 minute increments. Ex. 1.5 hours would have a value of 6 because 6 * 15 = 90 minutes. This field is blank if there is no goal.

The third field works the same as the second field, but provides the upper bound value for a between goal. It is blank for any goal type except between.

Comma Seperated Values for Geeks

For the geekiest among you (and you know who you are), you can add .csv at the end of a BubbleTimer web address (http://www.bubbletimer.com/days/01-28-2009.csv) and get CSV output for that day.

This is helpful if you want to ingest the data into something else.

New activities are joined with previously deleted activities

When you add an activity with the same name as an activity you had previously deleted, BubbleTimer will now join them up and treat them like one activity. You won't need to re-enter the previous goal and the activity chart will show the time from the previous activity.

Auto-complete when adding an activity

When you add an activity and start to type the same name as one you had previously, auto-complete will be available to increase the chance you use the same name and link up with the previously deleted activity.

Different colored arrows for scrolling hours and days

Making it less likely you accidentally click one when you meant the other.
